Obama said "Most small businesses right now, if they've got enough customers to make a profit and they can get the bank loans required to boost their payroll, boost their inventory and sell to those customers, they will do so."
Obama and Biden ate a burger at some photo op last spring. The owner of that shop surely had more knowledge of business than Obama or his elite professorial administration - who don't seem to know that borrowing money to meet payroll is underheard of ! I don't know the answer to that question. But I do know that he would find it instructive to review this morning's "Squawk Box" on the CNBC website and, in particular, the two hours spent with this morning's guest host. This is a very good snapshot of where we are and why and what we can't expect will come to the rescue of the American economy.
