Is a job still an equal opportunity employer if they decide that they don't want high-school students?

I applied for a job at a burger shop by my house that was an equal opportunity employer but when a friend of mine turned in his application they said they didn't want highschoolers because they are not as mature enough to work there. Its not like its even a nice restaurant its a burger shop by the beach! I would think they would want young folks to make it more lively and with a local atmosphere but i guess not. I want to go speak with the manager about the job... anything i can say without sounding too aggressive? or should i just look for another job?Is a job still an equal opportunity employer if they decide that they don't want high-school students?
Some jobs have age restrictions. Plain and simple. I don't believe the whole "equal opportunity" thing is concerned with age, but rather race, religion, financial status, etc.Is a job still an equal opportunity employer if they decide that they don't want high-school students?
Look for another job. Why waste your time when you know you are not what they want. I don't see this has anything to do with equal opportunity employer.
